Allen Jones, Director of Digital Library and Technical Services, The New School
Allen works at The New School Libraries and Archives as the Director of Digital Library and Technical Services in New York City. His team is responsible for cataloging, acquisitions, systems and reporting, reserves, and support for non-returnable inter-library lending. He is active within the ISO 18626 editors subgroup, which recently outlined potential use cases and applications for CDL lending and whole ebook lending between libraries. He serves on the steering committee for the Ex Libris Users of North America (ELUNA), a user community of over 1000 North American libraries using Ex Libris products. He also serves the SMEs – the subject matter experts’ group – for Project Reshare, an open-source inter-library lending service based on the FOLIO library service platform. His work focuses on different models of lending and library digital delivery channels.
