Access Services Conference Support Staff Travel Grant
Each year, Access Services in Libraries, Inc. presents the Access Services Conference Support Staff Travel Grant to two individuals who have demonstrated outstanding work and commitment in the field of Access Services.

Do you know a support staff member who deserves special recognition for their work and dedication in Access Services?
About the Grant
The Access Services Conference Support Staff Travel Grant is sponsored by Access Services in Libraries, Inc. The award recognizes two support staff members for outstanding work and commitment in the field of Access Services.
Recipients will receive a citation in the conference program, a travel grant of $1,000, and conference registration, valued at $350, for the annual Access Services Conference held in Atlanta, Georgia, each November.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the award, the candidate must be employed as library support staff serving in one of the fields of Access Services, including circulation, reserves, collection maintenance, interlibrary loan/resource sharing, or other related areas.
Suitability for the award will be considered based on the demonstration of outstanding work and commitment in the field of Access Services.
Nomination Requirements
To be considered for this award, please submit two letters:
- One letter from the dean, director, or supervisor of the staff member addressing the criteria detailed above
- One letter from the nominee briefly describing how they might benefit from attending the conference
Letters of nomination should include:
- Nominee’s full name, work address, telephone number, and email address
- Background on the nominee’s career in libraries
- Description of the nominee’s achievements in the field of Access Services
Additional Information
Self-nominations will be accepted. These must also include a supporting letter from a colleague.
Members of the Access Services Conference Steering Committee are ineligible for the award.
